Nastepne przedstawienie
To our friends:
The Polish Theatre Institute does not take vacations. We are presently working on future projects. As there is little action among the Polish American organizations during the Summer we hope to participate in their various ourdoor activities like "polanka's"and street and park events.
We have an ideal show for these occasions, KALEIDOSCOPE OF POLISH SONGS (KALEIDOSKOP PIOSENKI POLSKIEJ) which we just performed to great success for the city's Make Music NY on June 21st.* We are also preparing it as a staged show which we will perform in NYC, and on tour. We will also take the show to Poland for the International Meetings of Polish Theatres from Abroad, which takes place October 16-22.
We plan to tour with it 6 other towns in Poland's 'Galicja', ending with Krakow. At the same time we will be touring with Kazimierz Braun's HELENA,THE QUEEN OF EMIGRANTS (a one woman play about the Polish/American star Helena Modrzejewska/Modjeska) in Polish or English. This will be also performed in the USA and in Warsaw, Rzeszow and possibly some other cities.
Of course, we have other shows: POWTORKA Z CZERWONEGO KAPTURKA(Reprise of the Red Riding Hood, KRAM Z PIOSENKAMI(Shop os Songs), KABARET WIELKIEJ TROJKI(Cabaret of the Great Three) of which some numbers can be seen in the KALEIDOSCOPE and a seasonal show BLYSKAWICA (The Lightening) about the Rising of Warsaw (August-September) most appropriate for this time of year, for the general public and schools, particularly since it deals with the history of the Uprising and the music and literature of those tragic days.
We have of course other shows and are ready to visit anybody who wants us whenever requested. The sooner you book the better your chance of obtaining the show at your convenience. Check our 'Repertoire' section for details.
